REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Power Systems Development Department (PESD)
- The African Development Bank hereby invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : “Consultancy Services on Economic and Financial Analysis on the Impact and Benefits of Baynes Hydro Power Plant on Angola and Namibia” ;
- The services to be provided under the Assignment include: To present to Governments of Angola and Namibia an evaluation of the commercial structure options for delivering the Baynes Hydro Power Project and to provide a recommendation of the preferred, bankable structure that takes into consideration prevailing market conditions, stakeholder priorities and the most recent technical parameters ;
- The Power, Energy, Climate and Green Growth Complex invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consulting Firms or associations of Consulting Firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable Assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.) ;
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Procurement Policy Framework for projects financed by the Bank Group, October 2015 Edition, available on the Bank Website at http://www.afdb.org. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist ;
- The Consultant will be nominated through “Consultant’s Qualification Selection (CQS) method. The estimated duration of services is four (4) months and the estimated starting date is November, 2021 ;
- Interested Individual Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours from i.e. 00 am to 17.00 pm excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays ;
- Expressions of interest must be submitted no later than 15th September 2021 at 17.00 hours GMT in soft copies only to Ms. Stella Mandago through E- mail: MANDAGO@AFDB.ORG with copies to C.MWANGI@AFDB.ORG and E.MAH@AFDB.ORG . The caption of the EOI must explicitly mention : “ The Consultancy Services on Economic and Financial Analysis on the Impact and Benefits of Baynes Hydro Power Plant on Angola and Namibia”.
