This Request for Expression of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared on the African Development Bank’s Internet Website (www.afdb.org) on 4th February 2022.

The Government of the Republic of Zambia has secured funds from the CIF to implement the Expanded Response to Climate Resilience in Development (ERCRID) and intends to apply part of these funds to undertake a Knowledge, Awareness and Perception Survey for the ERCRID and a review of the PPCR Zambia Social marketing Campaign.

The main objective is to undertake a Knowledge, Awareness and Perception Survey for the ERCRID and a review of the PPCR Zambia Social marketing Campaign. The consultant must possess the following Qualification/Experience/Skills :

  1. A minimum of Masters’ Degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or a closely related field ;
  2. A minimum of 5 years’ demonstrated experience in communication and outreach work ;
  3. Demonstrated ability to have successfully conducted similar assignments such as social and behaviour change communication programmes ;
  4. Evidence of having undertaken similar assessments in a developing country preferably in Sub – Sahara Africa ;
  5. Proven experience in social marketing techniques, off and on-line media suitable for a range of target audiences, displaying in-depth knowledge and understanding of the local perspective.

The assignment is for Eight (8) weeks following the signing of contract.

Eligibility and selection procedure shall be Individual Consultant Selection (ICS) in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations dated October 2015”, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. The selection of Individual Consultant shall be based on (i) Consultant’s experience relevant to the Assignment (ii) Competency/Qualification of the Consultant relevant to the Assignment.

The Ministry of Green Economy and Environment now invites eligible individual (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should submit their application letter and detailed CV with information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
