REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

- The African Development Bank hereby invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : Comprehensive review of the Remuneration of the President and Executive Directors (“the Elected Officers”) of the African Development Bank ( “the Bank”) for the year 2022 ;
- The Consulting firm is to conduct a comprehensive review of the remuneration of the President and Executive Directors as prescribed in the Bank’s Resolutions adopted by its Board of Governors. In so doing, the Consulting firm shall take into account the comprehensive review mechanism as well as the changes effected on the formulae for the reviews. It should be noted by the Consulting firm that the comprehensive review will also include a benchmarking exercise with some of our comparator institutions, notably, the World Bank, the IMF, the Asian Development Bank (AsDB) and the EBRD. The benchmarking is an important element in the decision-making process of the Board of Governors Standing Committee of the African Development Bank ;
- The General Secretariat invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consulting Firms or associations of Consulting Firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable Assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.) ;
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Procurement Policy and Procedures for Recruitment of Corporate Consultants. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist ;
- The estimated duration of services is 6 weeks and the estimated starting date is January 2022; The Consulting firm will then be required to present its report to the Standing Committee at its scheduled meeting in the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington. The firm will also be required to be present at the Bank’s 2022 Annual Meetings in Accra in May 2022, possibly to answer any questions or requests for clarification from the Board of Governors ;
- Interested Consulting firms may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours: from 09:00 to 17:00 hours ;
- Expressions of interest must be received at the email addresses below no later than October 15th, 2021 at 8 PM local time and specifically mentioning Comprehensive review of the Remuneration of the President and Executive Directors (“the Elected Officers”) of the African Development Bank ( “the Bank”) for the year 2022 :
