REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : Consultancy Services for operational support to the African Development Bank (AfDB), in its role of strategic partner for the action « Financing » of the priority « Tools and Means » as part of the preparation of the 9th World Water Forum, « Dakar 2021 »;

2. The services to be provided under the Assignment include: (i) Preparation of thematic framework to be rolled out on the collaborative platform; (ii) Moderation of online discussions, organization of group work and preparation of synthesis report and session proposal; (iii) Support organization of virtual meetings with the consultative groups; (iv) Finalization of session proposals and Forum declaration; (v) Facilitation of the Forum sessions and preparation of Forum report for the Action Group on Financing ;
3. The Water Development and Sanitation Department invites Individual Consultant to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Individual Consultants shall provide their updated CVs indicating information on their qualifications and experience, and demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, experience and references for comparable assignments, availability for assignment, etc.) ;
4. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Rules and Procedure for the Use of Consultants under projects financed by the Bank Group, October 2015 Edition, available on the Bank Website at http://www.afdb.org. Please note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist ;
5. The estimated duration of services is 108 man-days spread over 9 months and the estimated starting date is August 1^st, 2020 ;
6. Interested individual consultants may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours: 09:00am – 05:00pm ;
7. Expressions of Interest must be received at the address below no later than June 26, 2020 at 05:00pm local time and specifically mentioning “Consultancy Services for operational support to the African Development Bank (AfDB), in its role of strategic partner for the action « Financing » of the priority « Tools and Means » as part of the preparation of the 9th World Water Forum, « Dakar 2021″”.

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SHORT LIST :

8. A shortlist of three to six individual consultants will be established at the end the request of expressions of interest. The consultants on the shortlist will be judged on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume/CV.
