CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSEHOLD SANITARY FACILITIES

Context :

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online of on 12^th January, 2018 on-line and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.
2. The Government of Ghana has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Greater Accra Sustainable Sanitation and Livelihoods Improvement Project (GASSLIP). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Construction of Household Sanitary Facilities.
3. The Greater Accra Sustainable Sanitation and Livelihoods Improvement Project (GASSLIP) under the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for execution of the works, the supply and installation of Household Toilets and Handwashing Facilities at the various areas within the GAMA as follows;

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of GASSLIP at the address below from Monday 5th August, 2019 to Friday 16th August, 2019 between 9:30am and 4:30pm each day excluding public holidays:

5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of GH¢300. Bidders shall be allowed to bid for a maximum of any two lots at a time.
6. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.
7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after the date of Bid Opening and must be accompanied by a security in the format provided and from a Reputable Source in amount indicated in the table above.
8. Bid security shall be valid for 28 days beyond the bid validity period.
9. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10:00am on Friday 6^th September 2019 clearly indicating the Lots being applied for and must be accompanied by a security indicated in the table above.
10. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10:00am on Friday, 6^th September 2019, at Conference Room of the GASSLIP Offices Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Ring Road West, Opposite Awudome Cemetery (inside Accra Sewerage Offices).
