To deliver results for children, UNICEF engages in public and private partnerships with governments, NGOs, civil society, corporations, and individual donors. In addition, UNICEF works with media to communicate and provide visibility to issues related to children’s rights and wellbeing at local and international levels.
The Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP), the National Committee Standing Group (SG), and the UNICEF Regional Office for West and Central Africa (WCARO) have agreed to provide interested UNICEF and National Committee staff with short-term assignments in WCARO or country offices in the region. These assignments will enable those National Committee personnel to support a number of areas in the region within different programmatic or functional areas, while providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
How can you make a difference?
You will support the office’s communications, partnerships and/or resource mobilization programmes. This may include development of strategies, creation of communication materials and campaigns, engagement with current and potential partners, and preparation of donor reports. In addition to the above years of relevant experience and languages, you will also have… :
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in a relevant field of study. A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree for certain positions ;
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset ;
- A contract deemed eligible by a National Committee.
