Call for Papers: Asian Development Bank Institute Workshop

The Asian Development Bank Institute and the Productivity Research Network of the National University of Singapore Business School invite paper submissions for a workshop on Empirical Research on Productivity and Innovation to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in January 2018

The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and the Productivity Research Network (PRN) of the National University of Singapore Business School (NUS) invite paper submissions for a workshop on Empirical Research on Productivity and Innovation to be held January 11-12, 2018, in Tokyo, Japan.
The workshop will provide an opportunity to members of the network and other invited researchers to discuss state-of-the-art research on productivity, as well as the possibility of establishing concrete collaboration.
The organisation committee invites researchers to submit unpublished papers for presentation that are empirically based on firm level data and that address one or more of the following topics:
- Measurement of firm productivity: Methodologies and cross-country comparability
- Financial, technological, and institutional drivers of productivity growth
- Productivity dispersion across firms
- Effect of financial regulation on industry structure, innovation, and productivity
- Effects of global value chains on firm innovation and productivity
- Productivity and financial and economic resilience
- Competition, market fragmentation, and productivity
- New funding models for the financing of startups and SMEs
- The role of start-ups in value creation and supply chain innovation
- The role of digitalization in innovation, entrepreneurship, and productivity
- The provision of government innovation incentives
- The role of credit data, big data, and other financial infrastructure to promote innovation and productivity
