World Vision  seeks to recruit Operations Manager – Garowe, Somalia

Here’s where you come in:

As Operations Manager, WV Somalia, you will provide leadership to WV Operations in Puntland state of Somalia, lead the implementation and coordination of World Vision Somalia’s Global Fund, Somalia Resilience program (SomRep) and bilateral grants toward the achievement of child well-being. You will oversee a portfolio of multi sectorial projects, providing leadership in design, implementation, integration, reporting and fund-raising. You will ensure risk-sensitive, pro-active, finance and support service provision to the program. The incumbent will spearhead responsible and effective stewardship of WV resources.

Requirements include : 

• Advanced degree in Development/Humanitarian Emergencies Studies and Project Management. Relevant Sector specialty ;
• Capacity to provide solid leadership and decision-making for efficient and effective program implementation.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in complex/ protracted emergencies and recovery operations ;
• Experience in program design, monitoring and evaluation in a complex humanitarian context ;
• Proven ability to manage a large and diverse program portfolio with multiple donors ;
• Effective in written and verbal communication in English ;
• The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
