Key Responsibilities:
Purpose of the position:
The main role of a People & Culture Officer is to Provide technical support in the various stages of all HR processes as per VF DRC policies and procedures, in line with Congolese labour law.
Major Responsibilities:
The duties of the Human Resources officer consist of:
Recruitment:
- Under the coordination of P&C Manager facilitate recruitment process
Induction:
- Personally welcome all new employees and complete their arrival documents in an organized and efficient manner.
Administration:
- Record, file and track staff performance reviews.
- Coordinate the preparation of training plans, develop activities and control the training evaluation process
- Ensure that the disciplinary procedure is followed and all disciplinary files duly completed.
- Check payroll and provide any change information
- Support and defend procedures related to hygiene, safety and health at work, firefighting, and other health & safety requirements in accordance with Congolese legislation.
- Ensures compliance with HR procedures in their implementation and in their application in the field.
Employee Engagement
- Ensure that employees are greeted in the Human Resources office in a warm and friendly manner.
- Promote and coordinate employees’ recreational programs (festivities, sports, leisure …) and develop and review periodically best practices in staff reward and recognition (seniority, retirement, birth, mourning, fidelity)
- Facilitate Employee Engagement through facilitation of Our Voice survey activities
- Under the coordination of P&C Manager prepare reporting on key achievements of the OV action Plan
Communication:
- Ensure employee communication boards are up to date and attractive.
Employees Wellbeing:
- Promote and coordinate employee’s well-being programs
- Provide support on staff welfare
Employee’s departure
- Ensure that the final settlement is calculated in accordance with the Congolese labor law
