Job Description :

2. #MAJOR_RESPONSIBILITES :

Project Design and Planning :

  • Plan and supervise the implementation of the PSS group sessions for individuals ;
  • Participate in developing annual and monthly detailed implementation plans ;
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans in a timely manner ;
  • Mobilize communities, Community Based Organizations (CBO) /Faith Based Organizations (FBO) and local government, share plans (implementation, monitoring and reporting tools) for the Project ;
  • Participate in developing annual and monthly detailed implementation plans ;
  • Participate in Cluster/AP health project design and planning meetings ;
  • Develop work plans – weekly, monthly and quarterly.

Project Implementation and Capacity building and training :

  • Conduct orientation and registration of returnees at their arrival in the transit centres ;
  • Identify PSN in need of particular transport into area ;
  • Provide logistical support including movement plan, PRs and following up with the team on daily bases, including organizing transport of PSN to their homes ;
  • Provide additional assistance kit to PSN based on different categories in the transit centres ;
  • Directly provide psychosocial counselling and support the coordination of provision of services by other specialized service providers in accordance with the needs of individuals and families ;
  • Facilitate PSN and community groups to identify barriers, specific needs, structural and policy issues and engage with decision makers to address the identified issues ;
  • Build capacity of community groups and structures to increase social cohesion between returnees and host communities ;
  • Coordinate reintegration of PSN in communities ;
  • Collaborate with Livelihood technical staff to create options to empower PSN ;
  • Ensure PNS who need counselling and protection’s services are referred ;
  • Provide all support needed that lead to wellbeing of PNS ;
  • Facilitate mainstreaming of cross cutting themes (gender, advocacy, child protection, faith and development, disability, environment) ;
  • Ensure complete and updated documentation for all activities ;
  • Organize and facilitate review sessions to ensure appropriate procedures are followed and quality practices are implemented.

Partnership and networking :

  • Participate and represent WVIB in local donor field visits, and other technical working forums when applicable ;
  • Organize meetings with service providers when needed. Ensure provision of feedback regarding actions taken to other agencies, when necessary and appropriate in light of confidentiality requirements ;
  • Support the Grant Coordinator in developing and maintaining effective working relationship with stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing ;
  • Maintain a positive working relationship within the team, and promote team-building efforts.

Monitoring & Evaluation, Reporting and Documentation :

  • Gather data, information, reports from Project implementation areas for appropriate actions ;
  • Share timely data with the Grant Coordinator to update M&E as required ;
  • Work with the Grant Coordinator to monitor project performance in line with WVI standards and take appropriate actions ;
  • Manage, file and store data, ensuring the confidentiality of the information collected and the services provided ;
  • Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program ;
  • Support the effective documentation of all information related to project successes, innovations and promising practices and disseminate through appropriate mechanisms ;
  • Support processes of project baselines and evaluation of the Project ;
  • Regular record and update monthly activity monitoring data to support evidence based monthly report ;
  • Lead regular planning and de/briefing meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality activities and reporting requirements ;
  • Participate in the Cluster/APs health periodic project output & outcome monitoring processes ;
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of assessments and evaluations to determine programme impact.

Financial control and budget  :

  • Support the Grant Coordinator and Grant Accountant to review budgets and prepare financial reports, and support in the preparation of budget variances for the Grant, including during Field Financial Review meetings ;
  • Adhere to budget management and activity timelines to ensure proper accountability to WV and donors and effective project implementation ;
  • Adhere to all WVB policies on procurement and financial management and report early to Supervisor as soon as any issue arises that may impact on the adherence to these policies.
  • Produce timely, accurate, compliant and quality reports to the Grant Coordinator.

Resource Acquisition :

  • Identify projects ideas for viable funding proposals for resource acquisition to support protection programme interventions ;
  • Participate in resource mobilization through concept papers/proposal writing for fund raising and market them with support offices and other donors ;
  • Contribute to feed into the pool of proposals ready for review and submission to donors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

Qualifications: Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, health Public or other related field ;
  • At least two years of experience in PSS activities including counselling and group session.

Functional and Professional Competencies and Skills :

  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities ;
  • Highly motivated and result-oriented, with exceptional attention to details ;
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with a passion for sharing knowledge ;
  • Ability to discuss sensitive issues with respect, empathy, and professionalism ;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect and non-discrimination, and to prioritize the safety of beneficiaries at all times ;
  • Excellent communication skills, confident interpersonal interaction and sensitivity to other cultures ;
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office ;
  • Demonstrated interest in humanitarian work and supporting people affected by conflict Ability to work independently, under pressure and as part of a diverse team ;
  • Excellent organizational skills, and great attention to detail ;
  • Ability to respond to emergencies when needed and support the protection team in providing any kind of support and in distribution of material support to IDPs when needed.

Working Environment :

  • Work environment: Field-based with frequent travel from the project areas ;
  • Field work: field work not be than 50% ;
  • Travel time: not more than 25% ;
  • Office work: 25%
