Job purpose :

To provide a range of specialised support for efficient planning, monitoring and management of the pipeline in order to facilitate the optimal use of financial resources.

Key accountabilities (not all-inclusive) :

Support pipeline management ensuring efficient monitoring, to prevent and address pipeline breaks and maximise operational effectiveness:

• Follow up with country offices to ensure timely, concise and complete submissions of monthly pipeline reports ;
• Provide a first level review and support in the pipeline process ;
• Provide follow up support to Country Offices on issues noted in the monthly pipeline compendium
• Provide support in the preparation of documents relevant to the monthly resource prioritization and resource management/supply chain working group meetings ;
• Prepare Note for the Record and follow up on related NFR action plans from both meetings ;
• Maintain accurate records of pipeline to ensure that data is readily available for regular and ad hoc report requirements to internal and external stakeholders ;
• Provide support in the preparation of a monthly requirements and resourcing situation report (Country Office pipeline requirements and shortfalls against available funding for the next 6 months) ;
• In relation to the above, follow up with Country Offices on the submission of assignment plans to confirm their replenishment needs. Then, review analyse and maintain accurate records of assignments and commodity allocations.

Budget & Programming tasks :

• Enter project budget plans and revisions in the corporate systems (BPT & WINGS) to ensure data is captured accurately & timeously thereby enabling easy access to information and supporting planning and decision-making ;
• Provide first level guidance and support to country offices on various budget and programming issues ;
• Backstopping support on pipeline and BPT issues in the absence of BPO focal points in country offices.

Standard minimum qualifications & competencies :

Education: A post-secondary Certificate, Diploma or Degree in the related functional area
Language: Fluency (level C) in English written and spoken language

The successful candidate must be highly analytical and detail conscious
