WFP recrute un Ingénieur Génie Civil/SSA8 – Ouagadougou , Burkina Faso

• Has worked effectively under supervision on a large number of varied design and construction projects and taken responsibility for work elements which have been assigned.
• Has attained advanced academic qualifications relevant to engineering.
• Has contributed to projects demonstrating knowledge of engineering specialisations in relation to fire safety, seismic blast or environmental requirements.

These jobs are found in Headquarters (HQ) or Country Offices (COs).  They report to the Division/Country Director or the designate, and are subject to overall normative and technical direction by the Chief Engineer, WFP Engineering in relation to all matters of engineering services and construction activities.
Job holders operate under the direct supervision of a more senior and experienced Engineer holding recognised accreditation as “Chartered Engineer” or “Professional Engineer”. They are involved in day–to-day practical engineering activities and analytical work. Subject to the overall guidance, job holders complete assignments and provide advice on engineering issues, applying the established norms, standards regulations and providing expertise in making determinations and recommendations across a range of daily activities.

Sous la supervision de l’unité Administrative et la direction du Programme Alimentaire Mondial (PAM) au Burkina Faso, l’ingénieur sera responsable pour les tâches suivantes :

• Coordonner toute publication d’appel d’offres et réalisation des travaux avec l’équipe de la section «   Engineering» au siège du PAM basé à Rome;
• Conduire des reconnaissances de terrain pour les sources de matériaux de constructions et prix du marché
• Assister dans la conception de nouveaux projets, dessins techniques, cadres de devis estimatifs et quantitatifs
• Donner son avis technique sur les dossiers de sélection des prestataires auprès du comité d’achat
• Organiser des réunions de chantier avec les prestataires
• Produire et soumettre à l’unité requérante des rapports sur l’avancement des chantiers
• S’assurer de la consistance des travaux à travers des matériaux proposés par le prestataire
• Superviser les travaux de construction en cours effectués par différentes entreprises pour le compte du PAM au bureau pays et sous bureaux
• Organiser les réceptions provisoires et définitives
• Résoudre les problèmes de communications, d’interprétation des conditions du contrat avec les entreprises
• Assister la négociation avec les autorités locales pour les demandes de nouvelles concessions
• Coordonner avec les entrepreneurs pour le respect de la qualité et programme des travaux
• Préparer des rapports de missions et progrès des travaux

1. Contribute to the implementation of WFP Policies, standards, norms and practices ensuring compliance with wider WFP policies, procedures, guidelines and operations.
2.  Provide engineering and project management services, apply best practises, standards and innovative technologies that comply with WFP standards and processes.
3. Contribute towards the analysis of project proposal to enable effective decision making on project technical feasibility.
4. Prepare evidenced based recommendations for senior staff on measures to improve WFP facilities suitability to operational purpose, safety, and efficiency of structures and equipment.
5. Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reporting on outputs to facilitate informed decision-making and consistency of information presented to the stakeholders.
6. Provide technical guidance that support a successful construction procurement process.
7. Participate in technical or design review, exchange of knowledge and experience, keeping abreast of construction and engineering technologies, to facilitate implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
8. Support the capacity building of engineering staff to facilitate the continued development and high performance.
9. Establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external clients to effectively meet clients’ expectations.
10. Contribute to preparedness actions, providing technical recommendations and guidance and monitor the management of risks.

• Diplôme ou BTS en Génie Civil
• Minimum 3 ans d’expérience pour un Diplôme et 5 ans pour un BTS
• Bon niveau de Français oral et écrit
• La connaissance de l’Anglais est un avantage
• Maitrise de Microsoft Office, Autocad, Internet et autres applications informatique
• Connaissance de dessin technique et métré
• Aptitude à travailler dans des conditions difficiles et avec des moyens limités
