Job purpose :
The Executive Director of World Food Programme (WFP) has identified Digital Transformation as one of WFP’s five priorities. The Technology Division has recently realigned the team into a Digital Transformation Services pillar with a growing & new field-focused Digital Services Hub recently opened in Nairobi. The Digital Programme Coordinator (Consultant) will report to the Chief of Digital Transformation Services, supporting both strategic and operational implementation of the priority initiatives with the aim to accelerate and enable WFP’s digital transformation.
Key accountabilities :
- Lead consolidation of outputs for activities such as annual Work Plan, investment cases and Management Plan ;
- Keep ongoing oversight of budgeting and alignment with finance team & the Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) Program Management Office ;
- Management of the Chief’s internal and external engagements by creating and/or coordinating content for presentations, talking points and other materials as needed, including digital transformation content for the Office of the CIO ;
- Liaise with internal and external counterparts to ensure effective collaboration, monitor ongoing initiatives and highlight potential risks to the delivery of activities/tasks ;
- Collaborate with TEC Communications team to support the development of a communication strategy and calendar to generate greater awareness and understanding of the products and services offered by Digital Transformation Services and the impact on operations/business ;
- Support on tactics related to additional funding opportunities for digital transformation initiatives, partnerships and the creation of the supporting materials/package to equip the Chief and/or CIO for meetings ;
- Contribute towards the development of a wide variety of projects, plans and processes, coordinating efforts between Heads of Units in the Digital Transformation Services and ensuring alignment to TEC agreed priorities & roadmap ;
- Assist and facilitate the coordination of high-level events ;
- Work closely with an administration officer to support tactical priorities ;
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications :
| Education: | Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, business administration, political science, social or development studies, project management or related field. Masters’ degree will be an added advantage.

| Experience: | Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience at the national level as project/programme coordinator. |
