About the role :
The Production Planner is responsible for reviewing and negotiating maintenance forecasts and daily demands with the Customer Airlines Maintenance Planning Teams. In conjunction with key stakeholders within the Maintenance Organisation, the Production Planner plays a pivotal role to ensuring the successful delivery of maintenance service in a timely cost-effective manner. Maintenance workpacks are issued by the Production Planners for maintenance to be performed as Line or Base Maintenance.
In addition, the Production Planner is accountable for :
- Reviewing maintenance deferrals as they arise, implementing actions to prevent re-occurrence ;
- Producing and distributing cost capture mediums to engineers, for all maintenance activities ;
- Obtaining quotations from third party contractors when required ;
- Ensuring that operator requirements are complied with in relation to the quality of detail, retention and return of technical documentation.
About you :
To become part of this exciting team you will have extensive experience in reviewing aircraft maintenance planning documents, including the ability comprehend the man hours, parts, tooling and ground support equipment required to complete the maintenance that is being scheduled by the Planning Team.
A demonstrated ability to think practically and adapt to changes in work schedule commitments. Training and experience in production control systems relating to aircraft maintenance activities and a working knowledge of Boeing aircraft documentation would be an advantage.
To be successful in this role you will have strong attention to detail and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will have strong communication skills both written and verbal and will be extremely well organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Your skills and experience will include :
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite ;
- A proven ability to conclude/close varying tasks, with the need to prioritise ;
- Well-developed problem-solving capability ;
- Remaining calm and focused under pressure ;
- Strong analytical capability.
