The Group Forecasting Specialist is responsible for developing a long term view of the business to guide long term decisions including fleet, airport infrastructure and long term capital projects. The role will require the development of a comprehensive financial models including profit and loss statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet.

 

What you’ll be doing :

  • Developing detailed financial models (P&L, Balance sheet and Cash Flow) to form the foundation of long term (3+ year) performance forecasting ;
  • Communicating the assumptions and outputs of the model to the executive team to inform strategic decision making ;
  • Identifying internal and external drivers of long-term business performance to form the basis for forecasting and scenario development ;
  • Developing and managing a collaborative process to collect insights from across all areas of the business on their key drivers of long term business performance ;
  • Integrating the outputs of the long-term forecasting models and processes into other key planning processes across the business including fleet planning and infrastructure planning ;
  • Updating key inputs to the model as data becomes available to ensure the model is current.

 

What will make you successful :

  • quantitative analytical skills and understanding of financial modelling processes and methodologies ;
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel including the construction of detailed financial models and statistical analysis ;
  • Working knowledge of TM1, PowerBi or other business intelligence software ;
  • The ability to develop high quality PowerPoint presentations ;
  • Ability to work in a small team at the core of a dynamic business where you want to make a difference ;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce – CPA or equivalent qualification.
