Safety Assurance Specialist :

The Role :

As a Safety Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in carrying out operational desktop safety and provide recommendations to ensure our customers and people are safe.

The position can be based in Brisbane or Melbourne and you will work closely with the Leader, Safety Assurance.

As a Safety Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for :

• Carry out safety audits of internal and external stakeholders ;
• Complete technical reports and provide analysis as requested ;
• Provide input to further develop assurance processes, procedures, and work instructions ;
• Identify potential and actual risk to operations and work with stakeholders to minimise risk ;
• Support divisional leadership teams on matters related to safety assurance.

 

What you need to be successful :

• A genuine passion for customer experience and people safety ;
• Operational ground experience in aviation would be beneficial but not essential ;
• Formal qualifications in safety or human factors ;
• Lead Auditor qualifications ;
• Demonstrate experience in utilising quality management applications to identify trends ;
• Demonstrated ability to influence and build long term stakeholder relationships ;
• Exceptional problem solving skills coupled with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
