Get to know the role :

The role of Partnership Specialist, Financial Services is integral to ensuring that the Velocity’s financial services partners achieve their business objectives and outcomes.  This position will report to a manager of Financial Services, and will be responsible to for a specific partner (or partners) within that manager’s portfolio.

By taking the lead on the designated partner, you will be expected to drive a plan for growth for that partner, including; all aspects of relationship management; defining, establishing and delivering on the partner marketing and innovation strategies; end to end campaign delivery; and contract negotiations.

Your key responsibilities will be to :

• Play an active role in identifying new growth opportunities within the manager’s portfolio and with new partnership opportunities ;
• Creating unique and differentiated strategies for their individual financial services partners ;
• Maintaining strong partner relationships and demonstrating the value to partners ;
• Ownership and responsibility for defining, establishing and delivering product & marketing initiatives aligned to those strategies developed ;
• Work closely with internal divisions and stakeholder to ensure that a range of promotions are provided to Velocity members throughout the year ;
• Financial support of the partner portfolio including forecasting, reconciliation and invoicing process.

To be successful in this role, you will bring to the table :

• 5 Years + commercial experience in Credit Cards or Consumer Loyalty environment ;
• Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of banking industry and environment ;
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills pitching to all levels within a business ;
• Strong negotiation skills to navigate through stakeholder relationships and contracts ;
• Commercial acumen to critically analyze opportunities and business context ;
• Demonstrated analytical skills and MS Excel proficient; able to develop forecasts and business cases ;
• Experience with planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting; confident assessing context, environment and growth opportunities;
• Project Management experience to lead new programs of work within the partnership.
