The expected objectives linked to the position are to coordinate and organize the monitoring of UNICEF supported programmes
- to support the programme monitoring undertaken by the donors.
- to work closely with all programme officers and Third-Party monitors to ensure submission of quality monitoring reports to UNICEF
- to support regular meetings with the key stakeholders involved in the programme implementation to ensure that the programme monitoring is done effectively and efficiently.
How can you make a difference?
The Programme Associate (monitoring) will ensure timely and quality completion of the below task :
- Facilitates development of Integrated Monthly Programme Monitoring plan and uploaded in the E-tools by all the programme officers and specialists ;
- Support timely monitoring and measurements are conducted with the participation of relevant partners and provide to the Country Office and partners to facilitate progress review and evidence-based programming document of the impact of the programmes and policies, on the overall situation ;
- Review and update all the monitoring templates used by the programme team and third-party monitors based on evolving programme objectives. Present and ensure that the feedback from the children and their caretakers are taken into account in the partnership reviews ;
- Support in strengthen the monitoring capacities of Country Office staff and partners to, enable them to increase engagement in quality monitoring of activities.
- Support effective communication and partnerships to carry out integrated planning of monitoring the activities within the Country Office and with all other stakeholders, including national partners, the UN Country Team and the international community and share the findings/results with all partners to stimulate joint engagement ;
- Integrate programme monitoring plan and develop base on the donor requirements presented by their third-party monitors in coordination with the supervisor, programme teams and partners ;
- Support the programme evaluation process implemented by the country office in terms of organisation and planning
- Take part in Programme monitoring visits together with the third-party monitors and programme teams to ensure compliance with all the monitoring requirements ;
- Document all the planned activities/meetings with partners and third-party monitors for follow up and timely action.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Education : Completion of Secondary School. Training in related field or discipline relevant to the job : A University Degree in social sciences, development planning, planning, evaluation, survey implementation, advanced statistical research is an added advantage ;
- Experience : A minimum of six years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience in programme , implementation monitoring and evaluation or experience in a related field .
