The MENTOR Initiative recrute un Consultant – Enquete KAP, Logone Oriental, Tchad

1. Purpose of the Consultancy
The MENTOR Initiative is looking for a qualified individual to support the design, implementation, data analysis and report writing of a Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) Survey on disease prevention in Logone Oriental region in Chad.

2. Planned timelines (subject to confirmation)
Start date: 15th of May 2018
End date: 30th June 2018

3. Work to be performed
The consultancy will entail 4 main activities (and tasks) as defined below:
a) Study design and Protocol writing (3 days)
b) Study implementation/supervision
c) Data Management
d) Report writing

4. Outputs
Output 1: Finalised protocol with sample size and final questionnaire integrating MENTOR team input;
Output 2: Completed data analysis according to the data analysis plan;
Output 3: Final KAP report integrating MENTOR team feedback

5. Specific requirements
a) Qualifications required:
a. A degree in health sciences (Medicine, Nursing) or similar
b. Post graduate certificate in Epidemiology, Public Health

b) Experience required:
a. Previous proven experience in managing health related cross-sectional surveys
b. Previous experience in Chad

c) Skills / Technical skills and knowledge:
a. Data management/analysis skills
b. Survey implementation knowledge and KAP surveys management experience/knowledge
c. Knowledge and experience of community case management

d) Language requirements:
a. Must be professionally fluent in French and English
b. Knowledge of local languages is an advantage

6. Competencies
a. Data management (entry, cleaning, analysis) required
b. English report writing skills

7. Place of assignment
Home based for Design and report writting
Gore, Logone Oriental, Chad for field implementation (No support will be provided for international or regional travel),

8. Submission of proposals
Proposals with no more than 2 pages should be submitted to chad.hr@mentor-initiative.net with the following elements:
a. Brief description of methodology to be used in the survey (1/2 page)
b. Previous experience in survey implementation of the individual (s) involved (1/2 page)
c. Timeline for key activities (1/2 page)
d. Financial proposal (1/2 page)
Proposals with more than two pages and/or with more elements than required won’t be considered.

Deadline for proposal submission: 08/05/2018

9. Proposal evaluation
Proposals will be scored by a MENTOR panel.
a. Methodology: 10 points
b. Survey experience: 40 points
c. Timeline: 20 points
d. Financial proposal: 30 points
