Long Term Consultant to support the implementation of IDEV.2 work program
Request for Expressions of Interest
- The African Development Bank Group (AfDB or the Bank) hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following assignment : Support to the implementation of IDEV.2 work program, henceforth “the assignment.” ;
- The assignment is expected to include the following activities: Undertaking components/activities of IDEV.2 work program, which includes thematic, sector, corporate, country evaluations and impact evaluation. This will require literature and documentation review, data collection, econometrics analysis, evaluation report writing and presentation, technical peer review of evaluation outputs, dissemination and outreach, etc. The assignment will also include activities to enhance evaluation culture in the Bank, and the effectiveness and efficiency of the Bank’s evaluation function ;
- It is anticipated that a Request for Proposals will be issued by mid-February, with contracting and commencement of work in March 2021 ;
- IDEV invites individual consultants, with at least six (06) years of relevant experience in international development and evaluation, to indicate their interests in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consultants shall provide information on their relevant qualifications, knowledge, and work experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (documents, references to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.), and on approximate monthly remuneration ;
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short-list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Rules and Procedure for the Use of Consultants available on the Bank Website at http://www.afdb.org. Please note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include her/him in the shortlist ;
- The estimated duration of services is twelve (12) months and the workplace is at the Bank’s Head Office in Abidjan. The estimated starting date will be in Mars 2021.
- IDEV is also known internally as BDEV since January 2017.
- Interested Consultant may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours (09:00 to 17:00) ;
- Expressions of interest must be received at the address below no later than on Friday 5 February 2021 at 17.00 local (Abidjan) time and specifically mentioning “Long Term Consultant for support to the implementation of IDEV.2 work program”. Expressions of interest should be written in either English or French, clearly indicating the Consultant experience in development evaluation with international standards and all the references with respect to the assignment.
