Overview :

In accordance with UNDP and GEF M&E policies and procedures, all full and medium-sized UNDP support GEF financed projects are required to undergo a terminal evaluation upon completion of implementation. These terms of reference (TOR) sets out the expectations for a Terminal Evaluation (TE) of the Project Strengthening climate information and early warning systems in São Tomé and Principe for climate resilient development and adaptation to climate change (PIMS 5103)

Background of project :

The objective of this project is to strengthen STP’s climate-related monitoring capabilities, early warning systems to ensure the availability of information for responding to climate shocks and planning adaptation strategies for climate change.   The funding targets some areas of supports, namely, the establishment of an early warning system for the dissemination and communication of extreme weather warnings, seasonal outlooks and decreased risks due to climate change supporting by strengthening the capacities of coverage the national territories with the AWS (Automatic warning system) and AHS (Automatic hydrological system) equipment’s.
