Plan International recrute un responsable de la stratégie – Woking, UKM, GB

The Organisation :

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

Specifically, the post-holder will lead global strategy development and alignment for Plan International and lead the strategy development hub working with targeted country offices, providing expertise, tools, insight and partnering to develop country strategies. Engaging with networks and undertaking ongoing horizon scanning, you will look to improve strategy practice and ensure we are preparing for and adjusting to opportunities and threats.

This will involve maintaining a global dataset to enable effective decision-making; developing evidence-based recommendations and facilitating discussions at leadership and Board level for decision-making about the country portfolio and working with other functions to benchmark country office performance internally. You will also oversee maintenance and development of prototype country operating models through which Plan International operates across its country portfolio

In this role your ability to build trust and understanding amongst stakeholders will also be imperative; producing executive-level written and verbal presentations, facilitating, influencing and negotiating with senior executives and building relationships and understanding across a variety of cultures and contexts.

You will also require a high degree of problem solving skills and the ability to identify creative solutions ways of working.
