Plan International recruits a Missing Child Alert – 2 Project Manager- Dhaka

All over the world girls are at risk because of their young age and their gender. They are at risk of being denied the opportunity to access a secondary education, to gain the skills and training they need to work and to exercise control over their sexual and reproductive health. They are at risk of being married before the age of 18. They are at risk of violence and harassment from men and boys in every space they occupy, including their home, their school, their refugee camp and their city.
Plan International Bangladesh implemented Missing Child Alert Phase 1 during 2012 to 2015 that was very successful in designing and piloting an innovative and digital solution for the repatriation of missing children within India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Based on the development made in phase 1, Plant International Bangladesh initiated MCA Phase 2 that is called the ProTEcT program. The aim of this project is the elimination of labour, sex and OSEC related trafficking activities in Nepal, Bangladesh and India through a multi-layered, comprehensive, community based model of support.In this project, Plan International Bangladesh will be focusing on innovation and advocacy – work through new IT based solutions (RIMS) and advocacy to partner with government regionally to ensure the protective measures and legislations in place and active.

The role :
As a Project Manager-MCA, you will be responsible for planning and executing the project through Repatriation Information Management System (RIMS) and providing guidance to technical teams for upgradation of RIMS. You will also be accountable for implementation of national level policy advocacy as per specific result area of MCA project in achieving the project objectives, and will engage government and non-governmental stakeholders at the national level in MCA project implementation. Besides, you will oversee the implementation process, and monitoring progress towards projects goals and defines measures to ensure highest quality of project interventions and partnership management in Bangladesh. The Project Manager-MCA will be leading regional level initiatives such as networking with key stakeholders and liaison with other countries; providing overall technical and capacity building support of MCA project to be implemented in Bangladesh. You will also ensures that MCA Project in Bangladesh meets Plan’s corporate and donor compliances.
What we’re looking for :
We are looking for a ‘to go’ and a passionate team member who is competent in delivery of design and development projects that includes introducing a sustainable changes in system. A Postgraduate degree holder with five years’ experience in the similar role, preferably in development field.
