Plan International seeks a dynamic leader and project strategist to fill the role of Finance Assistant for USAID funded Marawi Response Project to be based in Iligan City.

The Finance Assistant provides financial and operational support in budget monitoring, cash disbursement, financial records keeping and capacity building for partners ensuring smooth implementation of projects and programs in the area of coverage.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Processing of procurement payments in support of grants project ;
  • Monitor and review financial transactions and check budget availability ;
  • Assist in managing petty cash fund ;
  • Prepares and submits monthly and quarterly reports on time and weekly reconciliation of cross charges ;
  • Furnish all required financial documents during audit season or as necessary ;
  • Review and monitor partner budgets and expenditures ;
  • Visit the partners’ office and project area .

The Person :

  • University graduate in Accounting or Business Administration ;
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in areas of accounting or business administration ;
  • Has good communication skills ;
  • Has relevant training and/or experience in the use of computer systems and applications ;
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks at once ;
  • Has an excellent understanding of the working context of Mindanao ;
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the Philippines. Local applicants are preferred.
