The Opportunity :

The Project Manager will ensure overall coordination and ensure the correct execution of all project activities of “ECHO HIP”; Responsible for the overall management of the project and the project team in the Nana Gribizi Prefecture, including coordination of the partnership (direct NGO partner, state representations, the United Nations system at the prefectures level, as well as coordination with other international NGOs working in the prefecture of Nana Gribizi both in the education sector and in other clusters). The position requires innovative thinking and creativity. S/He will write sections of the proposals that speak to our overall capabilities, while coordinating the input of technical advisors, Operations, Finance, HR and Security into the projext reports. Recognizing that many conversations with donors involve a review or update around the current project activities as well as discussions about new opportunities.

The ECHO- HIP Project Manager will also be expetcte to keep closely informed about the progress of the entire project clcule and able to speak to the results on key reporting documents

Key Areas of Accountability :

  • Manage the project team
  • Planning, coordination and supervision of project activities in close collaboration with the direct partners and staff of the project implementation,
  • Conduct a baseline survey to define the state of play in beneficiary communities
  • Provide adequate technical and operational support to the project implementation team in the field
  • Budget management of project activities in close coordination with the Education specialist.
  • Organize the implementation of Education in Emergencies and Centers for Early Childhood Development
  • Coordination of capacity building activities of teachers from targeted communities and project staff,
  • Advocacy for the promotion and respect of children’s rights,
  • Coordination of the work with the Academic Inspections (IA) and the State services involved in the implementation of the project
  • Technically support the project team in producing analytical reports on the progress of the program and progress in detailing challenges and recommendations for action
  • Frequent field trips and project visits to the various activity implementation sites
  • Monitoring education activities and protection activities in emergency situations
  • Monitoring the execution of protocols signed with partners and ensure that resources have been used appropriately;
  • Reconcile the flow of expenses with the flow of activities;
  • Coordinate activities within the framework of Internal Control and External Control of Projects
  • Write project reports and submit in a timely manner;
  • Ensure that the responsibilities and tasks of the state partners of the project are carried out properly;
  • Ensure the application of the various policies of Plan International at the field level.
