The Role
Oxfam International’s Africa Platform is looking for Finance and Grants Manager who will ensure that the Africa Platform meets donor conditions for the regional and Global program being managed by the Africa Platform. S/he is the focal point for i) donors’ financial, processes and procedures analysis ii) ensure the compliance from the setting to the end of a grants management and iii) proposal of solutions and mitigation processes to the management is key to avoid risk

We’re looking for a person with
- Bachelor degree in Finance or related degree.
- Proven relevant experience in similar positions with similar responsibilities.
- Proven knowledge of computerized systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerized accounting packages and spreadsheets.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and regulations for non-profit organisations and donors’ rules and regulations
- Experience of monitoring budgets and systems development.
- Has good communication skills and fluent command of English both in writing and speaking. Knowledge of written and spoken French is an advantage.
- Have well developed interpersonal, intercultural and team skills and proven ability to be flexible and sensitive in demanding situations
- Strong active team player with experience in multi-cultural environment.
- Detail oriented and problem solving skills.
- Experience in contributing to organizational capacity development.
- Experience in liaising with communities, individuals, CSOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Aptitude to learn quickly and to share learning with colleagues and partners.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Proven ability to interpret financial procedures and standards and put them into practice and influence others in their implementation.
- Analytical and planning skills.
- Self-management including ability to prioritize own workload and work independently and commitment to meet deadlines.
- Experience of developing monitoring and reporting systems.
