The Role

Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for an HR Officer to provide administrative support and first level HR advice to key stakeholders under the guidance of the HR Operations & Benefits Lead while working closely with a People Partner. This role works with the People & Culture function to administer HR processes and procedures of the employee lifecycle and provides support to People & Culture function when implementing and monitoring HR policies and procedures. The HR Officer will be allocated a key workstream/client group by agreement with the Lead People Team, HR Operations & Benefits Lead, and the Head of International HR Operations.

Who we’re looking for

Our office operates in a dynamic, fast paced and complex environment so you will need to have a proactive ‘can do’ attitude and be confident at juggling and prioritizing multiple tasks and stakeholders.

You will be a confident communicator at all levels, both written and spoken and a fast learner. You will take pride in your work paying close attention to details and accuracy. You will have strong organizational skills and be able to take ownership of a query and see it through to a successful conclusion. You will have strong Excel skills for data entry and producing information on key HR data. You will have proven experience of delivering high quality end-to-end employee life-cycle administration and supporting an HR Operations Function. Fluency in English is essential; French or Spanish language skills would be advantageous.
