Nestlé Senegal is currently looking for an Application Group Specialist to manage the development and introduction of new products, processes and packaging within factory under the functional lead whilst ensuring compliance with both Nestle and legislative requirements.

He/She will also manage technical projects, and support factory (ies) and marketing in terms of projects / initiatives related to product, processes and technologies. Also, drive and leverage the creative and technical knowledge from the technical & design teams to bring concepts to life through holistic prototyping along the flow. Assessing the challenges of each proposed solution against the I2L Innovation framework to ensure efficient, effective and flawless execution of Idea2Launch projects.

• Define and co-facilitate with I&CG lead, the best approach for ideation & prototyping relevant to the scope and Innovation framework success criteria ;
• Ensure adequate hand-on skills (incl. external agencies or partners) and appropriate set-up at location is available for rapid prototyping ;
• Ensure consumer feedback is integrated into original ideas to iterate ;
• Drive design thinking and holistic prototyping mindset and capabilities ;
  I&R strategy for the supported product category (ies) in the market :
• Develop and implement long-term Innovation& Renovation pipeline with the Marketing Category head in line with the business strategy and monitors its implementation ;
• Ensure that the 3Cs (Consumer, Compliance, Competitive advantage) are achieved in their projects.

• Technical education background (preferably University graduate or equivalent in food science, chemistry or related subjects).complemented by a solid food industry experience within the product category ;
• Innovation & Renovation Experience ;
• Project Management experience involving a range of projects of varying size will be an added advantage ;
• Factory / manufacturing experience in multiple category of products ;
• Able to dialogue with all levels of employees and experts ;
• Ability to read and write English language ;
• Keeping abreast of knowledge on technical advancement and developments ;
• Good networking abilities and able to work in a network and able to work under pressure ;
• Passionate about the products, consumers and category ;
• Totally committed to manufacture of safe and compliant products.
