Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation V3/V4
ITIL Intermediate and Capabilities in Service Transitioning

- Asset Manager Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and execute asset management (HAM, SAM) policies, procedures, and processes.
- Coordinate with management in utilizing the asset management tools to analyse, review and track asset data.
- Develop asset control processes to monitor accountability identification, maintenance, location, and contracts.
- Manage asset reconciliation and asset disposal agreements.
- Prepare and manage IT asset capital and expense budgets.
- Ensure audit compliance for the IT.
Configuration Manager Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.
- Prepare configuration documentations and maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Review and recommend improvements to existing CMDB processes.
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and security of CMDB.
- Schedule audits on CMDB and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
- Work with Security Team to develop security guidelines to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items
- Work with configuration teams in development and enhancement of Configuration Management tools.
- Assist in management, maintenance and automating of Configuration Management tools.
- Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables.
- Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments.
- Analyse configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.
- Knowledge Manager Responsibilities and Duties
Manage the current knowledge management practices as well as design new knowledge distribution policies and encourage use of the new practices
- Analysing the effectiveness of the new knowledge management programs by observing its usage and evaluate its impact in terms of the organizational benefits
- Interact with the staff members, unit managers and the clients. Act as a mediator to answer the queries of the clients and staff about the knowledge management products and practices
- Utilize the knowledge base resources and design a training module for the staff and clients to help them access the knowledge management tools
- Being responsible for the analysis of social networks and formation of communities of practice within the organization
- Encourage the staff and workers to share knowledge effectively and efficiently

Ad hoc and Operational Meeting
- Participate and provide inputs in operational meetings as and when required
- Set up and manage ad hoc meetings for day-to-day operational requirements as and when requiredEscalations

Opco Operational
Participate and provide inputs in Service Transition weekly meetings
Propose operational changes and provide associated user impact assessment

Ensure effective delivery of day-to-day operations at the Opco and resolve operational issues

Follow-up project transitioning across the life cycle and as per the processes
Reporting
Provide inputs to the Manager (as required) relating to progress made within the sub-division and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation

Manage IT Hardware asset portfolio with respect to risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives
Develop and Maintain Company policies, Procedures and Processes
Manage a team of IT Asset analysts
Plan and Implement IT Hardware asset life cycle strategy, advise Procurement and IT Operations in Procurement strategies for IT Hardware acquisition
Serve as IT Hardware Asset Management subject Matter expert
Optimize usage and cost of IT hardware deployment
Manage acquisition deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT Asset
