Objectives of the programme :

Fournir un appui technique au renforcement de la surveillance epidemiologique integree en general et la surveillance PFA en particulier au Tchad;Contribuer l’utilisation des nouvelles technologies dans la mise en oeuvre des activites de surveillance et de la vaccination (AVADAR, eSURV, ISS, GIS, etc.);Fournir un appui technique a l’implantation du DHIS2 au Tchad.

Description of duties :

Ameliorer l’utilisation des donnees et des pratiques de gestion des donnees pour la surveillance de la polio et des autres MEV, 2. Travailler avec le Ministere de la Sante Publique dans l’implantation du DHIS2 ;3. Appuyer le pays a l’introduction des nouvelles technologies pour le renforcement de la surveillance et de PEV de routine utilisant l’application ODK (ISS, eSURV) 4. Conduire et evaluer les formations des gestionnaires des donnees avec un accent sur la verification de la qualite des donnees, analyse des donnees, l’interpretation et la retroaction ; 5. Mettre a jour les donnees cartographiques (shapefile et coordonnees geographiques) des districts et centre de sante. 6. Assurer d’autres taches en appui a l’eradication de la polio, et d’autres interventions dans le cadre du controle accelere des maladies ciblees.

Required qualifications :

Education :

  • Essential : Diplôme universitaire ou certificats ou titres équivalents en gestion des données, micro-informatique et supports de gestion, épidemiologie de base, statistiques ou démographie ;
  • Desirable : Diplôme universitaire en interventions de sante, ou dans un domaine similaire serait en atout.

Experience :

  • Essential : Experience d’au moins 5 ans dans le domaine de la gestion des donnees de la surveillance epidemiologique, vaccination de routine et ou interventions de controle accelere des maladies evitables par la vaccination et a l’utilisation des nouvelles technologies ;
  • Desirable: Experience concrete en gestion des donnees, epidemiologie et ou statistiques ;
  • Skills : Expertise technique en gestion des donnees, epidemiologie, controle des maladies infectieuses ;- Capacite d’elaborer et conduire une recherche operationnelle, evaluation, monitorage, revue et analyse des donnees.

Use of Language Skills

Essential : Intermediate knowledge of English. Expert knowledge of French.

 

Desirable :

Rémunération : WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 60,233 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 2560 per month for the duty station indicated above. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
