IFC MENA region is looking to recruit an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) to support the business development efforts Maghreb team (Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia) with a focus in the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services (MAS). The ETC with also provide support to prepare country strategy/business plan and sector analysis.
 
The position is based in Rabat, Morocco and reports to the Country Manager responsible of the Maghreb region.
 

Duties and Responsibilities :

The ETC will work closely with country teams and industry team leaders to assist in the business development efforts, origination, due diligence, structuring, negotiation and execution of IFC investment and advisory projects.
 
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Produce country and sector analysis and mappings, strategy briefs, marketing material and pitch books ;
  • Assist in IFC’s business development efforts ;
  • Due diligence (including Integrity checks) and transaction structuring reports ;
  • Financial models  ;
  • Assist in other project or strategy development efforts as per the guidance of the Country Manager .

 

Selection Criteria :

  • Masters or equivalent degree with specialization in finance, strategy or other relevant fields ;
  • Solid and relevant experience of a minimum of two years gained in the IFC operation and/or investment side or another leading financial institution either in project finance, corporate finance or M&A and privatizations ;
  • Knowledge of overall industry sector trends and experience in Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services in MENA ;
  • Strong financial modeling skills  ;
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, with good presentation skills ;
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice and frequently, as required ;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable .

Note : The selected candidate will be offered a one-year appointment, renewable for an additional one year, at the discretion of the World Bank Group, and subject to a lifetime maximum ET Appointment of two years. If an ET appointment ends before a full year, it is considered as a full year toward the lifetime maximum. Former and current ET staff who have completed all or any portion of their second-year ET appointment are not eligible for future ET appointments.
