Knowledge Management Officer, Alcançar Project Mozambique

 

Description :

FHI 360 is seeking applications for a Knowledge Management Officer for a project based in Nampula, Mozambique, focused on improving quality of maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes by working with government partners to institutionalize a culture of quality improvement. The Knowledge Management Officer will closely work with and support the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Team by developing and disseminating knowledge products in alignment with the Project’s key learning questions. The Knowledge Management Officer will also liaise with the project’s technical staff and leadership to develop high-quality, technically relevant knowledge products and learning events. The position will be based in Nampula.

Job Summary/Responsibilities :

The Knowledge Management Officer will have the following responsibilities :

  • Provide ongoing technical support to project staff to produce learning products that will support the project’s learning agenda ;
  • Ensure that the project’s progress, achievements, and results are communicated regularly and accurately to relevant national and global stakeholders ;
  • Support the design and implementation of a knowledge management agenda ;
  • Lead development of technical briefs, success stories, web content, presentations, reports and other written deliverables ;
  • Support the development and review of donor reports (quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc) ;
  • Support webinars and social media communications ;
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and contributions toward completion of high-quality learning materials ;
  • Lead and/or contribute to the design of project-wide knowledge-sharing systems ;
  • Ensure that all project communications have a consistent tone and voice and relate to the project’s objectives and priorities ;
  • Liaise with FHI 360 HQ team to develop, implement, and update knowledge management processes and strategy.

Qualifications :

  • University degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or Related Field ;
  • 5 years’ experience of writing, editing and publications (public health will be an advantage) ;
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience with USAID and/or international development organization projects ;
  • Experience developing scientific and programmatic knowledge management and dissemination materials ;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English required ;
  • Knowledge of local language will be an advantage ;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Portuguese and English ;
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
