Education :

University degree (minimum Master 1 or BAC + 4) in Information Systems or Computer Science, or proven prior experience with diploma in computing.

Experience :

• 1 – 2 years experience in IT work environment and preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry ;
• Understanding of Microsoft Windows Technologies and Infrastructure ;
• Educational background and/or experience with programming languages and tools such as Visual Basic, VB.NET, SQL/SVR, MS Access, C++, etc ;
• Working and/or supporting commercial software packages.

Skills/Knowledge :

• Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff ;
• Ability to communicate in English over the phone and via e-mails ;
• Good customer relations and people skills ;
• Project Management skills ;
• Task oriented and can work under strict deadlines and changing priorities ;
• High degree of understanding of the company’s information systems standards ;
• Aptitude for and wilingness to work on Global virtual teams.

Any Other Job Requirements :

• Able to work safely in lower temperature (server room) or higher temperature (outside and/or in storage containers) ;
• Able to work safely with computing/hand tools for repairing and/or testing computing equipment ;
• Understand the safety risks of the job and take appropriate actions. Example (not exhaustive) ;
• Lifting/carrying PC’s, servers, printers and associated peripherals ;
• Plug in/plug out and maintain computing equipment ;
• Running and fit cables arround desks, cabinets etc…
• Should immediately inform to his/her supervisor any conditions that would prevent or might increase the risk of executing his/her task
