Context :

CURE Hospital is a non-profit Christian organization passionate about the physical and spiritual healing of children with disabilities in developing countries and established in Niger since 2010, with the aim of making its contribution to the country. The CURE’s principal mission is to transform the lives of children with disabilities, as well as their families around the world by providing physical and spiritual healing. In addition to services provided by CURE, the Hospital contribute on medical training and advocacy for children with disabilities.  The main objective of CURE is to offer quality surgical care to children affected by severe orthopedic problems or various disabilities (sequelae of burns, cleft lip and palate).  The hospital is located in Niamey, Lazaret between Total station and the Baaré roundabout.  It has a capacity of 58 beds and two operating rooms and is the only hospital in Niger, through the CURE Hospital network, specialized in pediatric and orthopedic surgery. Thus, as part of the implementation of its activities in Niger, the CURE Hospital is looking to recruit an :

 

Qualification : Administrative Secretary

  • Hold a higher degree in secretarial or social sciences from a recognized institution or university ;
  •  Be able to express yourself and write in fluent English ;
  •  Experience in administrative secretariat in an NGO.

Location : Niamey

Direct report to :  Executive Director.

 

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES :

  1. Welcome and guide visitors to the director by appointment ;
  2. Provide administrative support to the Director and the management team ;
  3. Ensure the management of calls, letters ;
  4. Make oral and written translations into English-French and French-English ;
  5. Write administrative letters in French and English ;
  6. Prepare minutes of meetings ;
  7. Schedule and monitor scheduled visits by the Executive Director ;
  8. Organize and remind the director of his schedule ;
  9. Manage office supplies ;
  10. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

 

Skills and Job Characteristics :

  • Write and speak Fluent English  ;
  • Master the use of computer and office automation tools ;
  • Master Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel), G-Suite and have knowledge of the Internet  ;
  • Master oral and written communication techniques and have a clear writing level (neat and readable) ;
  • Be flexible and flexible as requirements change ;
  • Be organized and be able to multi-task at the same time.

FILING OF FILE :

  • Application file including a cover letter and a recent CV written in English in which three (3) persons mentioned in reference (surnames and first names, address and profession) must be sent on behalf of the Executive Director of CURE Children’s Hospital in Niger with the title of the position as indicated above by September 30, 2022 at 5 p.m. at the CURE Children Hospital Niger.
  • The CV and cover letter must be written in English. Interviews will be conducted in English.
