Airports Technology Specialist

Who we’re looking for :
The objective of the Airport Technology Specialist role is to support airport-based systems, technology and users. This role will work with end-users across the VA network to ensure that the various systems and associated tools meet the needs of the business and is fully aligned with changes to program operations, policies and/or procedures. They will also liaise with vendors as required for systems support and performance and assist in verifying invoicing and other administrative processes.
We are a team of Airline Operations Technology Specialists who provide premium support to our customers in achieving their goals in safety, compliance and efficiency through the use of innovative technology and specialist advice. What you’ll be doing :
- Work with Business Systems Leader to identify and document future system enhancement requirements ;
- Conduct and support system testing for new releases, bug fixes across multiple applications ;
- Coordinate and prepare for Change Board approvals for upcoming system changes ;
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical assistance for airport systems ;
- Track system problems to resolution as part of the problem management process ;
- Assist in delivering IT Application and infrastructure initiatives on or below budget ;
- Ensure that vendors are fully engaged and aware of service requirements to fulfil SLAs and project delivery objectives ;
- Promotion of the Airports Technology team across all customers and stakeholders including correct processes and procedures ;
- Documentation of Handover/BAU support processes and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
You’ll be great in this role if you :
- 2+ years as a systems analyst / administrator / specialist ;
- Airline operations systems experience is essential ;
- Understanding of airline/airport business process and key airport systems best practices and functionality ;
- Experience managing outsourced technology service providers and managing performance against SLAs ;
- Highly developed communication and relationship building skills.
