Hello. We’re Velocity Frequent Flyer, part of the Virgin Australia Group. And we’re back (in a big way).

As we are ramp things up, we’re on the lookout a Partnerships Manager to join our fast-growing squad. You’ll be responsible for building and driving partnership relations for one of ‘Australia’s most loved loyalty programs. A program that’s currently 10 million members strong and counting. That’s half of Australia!

Who we’re looking for :

Someone keen to join an award-winning team and take one of ‘Australia’s most loved loyalty programs’ to the next level. You will have a passion for the development and execution of a partnership strategy covering product, pricing, data, relationship management and commercial delivery for relevant partners, as well as contribution to the overall partner strategy.

A people person who’s results and data driven, one who knows how to make lasting stakeholder connections that grow a strong bottom line. You are a real detail oriented person and enjoys working within collaborative environments. Coupled with this you are passionate about air loyalty programs and are commercially aware.

 

What you’ll be doing :

Want to drive business results and call the shots in your own portfolio? Say no more. Here you’ll get to work with a number of partners to develop initiatives and campaigns that hit our commercial targets.

Additionally you will also :

  • Create unique and differentiated strategies for individual partners and demonstrate the value to partners ;
  • Work closely with internal company stakeholders (e.g. Revenue Management and Airline Partnerships teams) to design and develop redemption products for Virgin Australia flights
  • Analyse and leverage data insights to manage partner planning and performance, including budgeting, forecasting revenue, activity, engagement and acquisition initiatives on a regular basis ;
  • Take ownership and responsibility for defining, establishing, and delivering product and marketing initiatives aligned to strategies developed ;
  • Play an active role in identifying new growth opportunities within the portfolio and with new partnership opportunities ;
  • Provide contract management support, including playing an active role in negotiations, ensuring that commercial terms are reviewed, managed, and maximised ;
  • Support the team with setting budget targets, report on performance and manage all billing and reconciliation of partner ;
  • Own the performance of your portfolio including optimisation of the redemption proposition and pricing to balance member value and profitability. Work closely with your partners to achieve agreed targets.

 

You’ll be great in this role if you have :

  • University degree in Business, Commerce or Marketing ;
  • An understanding of loyalty businesses and concepts ;
  • Direct account or partnership management experience either in an agency, commercial or loyalty role ;
  • Experience in direct marketing retailing/sales and CRM ;
  • Solid relationship and portfolio management skills ;
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen ;
  • Planning, budgeting and reporting experience ;
  • An understanding of campaign management process and objectives.
