What you’ll be doing :

The Industry Account Manager position is tasked with managing our relationships with industry partners and growing sales. The role is performed at our head office and is predominately performed over the phone, email and Microsoft Teams :

  • Achieve sales budget and improve revenue growth and revenue quality in the Industry (trade) channel ;
  • Engage in the crafting of a robust revenue development plan for your sales portfolio ;
  • Follow up on leads and close sales to increase revenue from existing customers ;
  • Grow existing business of customers through various activities and client engagement ;
  • Retain and grow revenue through active, productive and strategic account management ;
  • Engage key internal stakeholders as required for support including VIS, National Account Managers, Revenue Management, Network Scheduling, Group Travel and the broader sales team ;
  • Work with your team members to ensure all work is being attended to within the outlined SLA’s to achieve team revenue and customer service targets ;
  • Proactively reach out to new and existing customers ;
  • Develop and execute a customer engagement plan (including support from manager and team).

 

Who we’re looking for :

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritise ;
  • Proven experience in negotiating in a competitive environment ;
  • Proven network of corporate or travel related contacts ;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with high volume communication, via emails and phone calls ;
  • Proven abilities in high level customer service ;
  • Knowledge of fares and ticketing and/or revenue management principles is desirable ;
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and operate at all customer levels, while also able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and partners (internally and externally) ;
  • Experience working in, or dealing with Retail, PCO and Corporate Travel Agency is desirable.
