Who we’re looking for :

Manage and deliver complex programs subject to the IT Project Delivery Framework. You will oversee multiple project teams, vendors, and partners, ensuring program goals are achieved. This includes managing the program scope, budget, schedule, and RAIDD, ensuring adequate resourcing and governance, and operating effectively. You’ll work closely with project sponsors and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment. There are multiple opportunities for a 24-months fixed term.

 

What you’ll be doing :

  • Collaborate with Project Sponsors, Program Directors, cross-functional teams, portfolio COE leaders and assigned Project Managers to plan and baseline scope, deliverables, and timing ;
  • Ensure required resources are in place to deliver the desired program outcome ;
  • Develop and maintain an integrated program schedule aligned to the portfolio-level integrated schedule ;
  • Manage the relevant delivery teams (internal and external), including coaching to team members ;
  • Create and manage the program budget, forecast and monthly cost recognition ;
  • Negotiate and manage partner commercials and contracts ;
  • Ensure RAIDD (risk, assumption, issue, dependency, decision) registers are in place and actively maintained ;
  • Manage delivery compliance with the VA Delivery Framework ;
  • Collaborate with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple programs and projects ;
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.

 

You’ll be great in this role if you :

  • Extensive experience in Program/Project Management, delivering at least 5 complex programs, with multiple streams and of high value ;
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and coaching then on successful project delivery ;
  • Ability to time manage and mitigate risks ;
  • Financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting experience ;
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders, including executive management ;
  • Critical thinking, analytical and forecasting skills ;
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, understand and use data and provide insight to enable fact-based decision-making ;
  • Sound understanding of financial budgeting, governance/controls ;
  • Outstanding working knowledge of project and change management principles and performance management processes ;
  • Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches ;
  • Proven ability with project management tools, including Jira, Confluence, DevSecOps, MS Project, Power BI ;
  • Airline industry experience (beneficial) ;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as confidence in presenting ;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project, IT or Business Management ;
  • Master’s degree in business administration (beneficial).
