Hello. We’re Velocity Frequent Flyer, part of the Virgin Australia Group. And we’re back (in a big way).

As we ramp things up, we’re on the lookout for new, come-as-you-are team members to join our fast-growing squad.  Sitting within the commercial team this is an integral role where you will own a portfolio of partners and create unique strategies for one of ‘Australia’s most loved loyalty programs. A program that’s currently 10 million members strong and counting. That’s half of Australia!

Who we’re looking for :

A financial services professional keen to join an award winning team and take Velocity to the next level. A coach and motivator, who is commercially aware with a strong business acumen.  You are an influencer, who guides and builds successful mutually beneficial relationships with our credit card partners. Coupled with this you are passionate about financial products/services, loyalty programs are a real people person that is innovative in their approach.

 

What you’ll be doing :

  • Developing and executing partnership strategy covering product, pricing, data, relationship management and commercial delivery for relevant partners, as well as contribute to the overall partner strategy ;
  • Managing contract negotiations ensuring that commercial terms are reviewed, managed and maximised ;
  • Developing and delivering campaign strategies for the relevant partners, working  collaboratively with internal teams to understand data, drivers and opportunities to optimise ;
  • Analysing and leveraging data insights to manage partner planning and performance, including budgeting, forecasting revenue, activity, engagement and acquisition initiatives on a regular basis ;
  • Identifying and understand trends and insights impacting the partnership ;
  • Maintaining and developing mutual beneficial partnership relationships ;
  • Identifying new growth opportunities within the portfolio and with new partnerships ;
  • Assisting in leading and motivating a successful team.

 

What will make you successful?

  • Extensive commercial experience across credit cards/payments/fintech ;
  • Successful track record of commercial negotiations and partnership levels at a senior level ;
  • Experience with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting ;
  • The ability to lead and deliver major projects ;
  • Extensive experience in 3rd party Relationship Management  ;
  • Prior experience working with balance scorecard performance setting, tracking and delivery ;
  • Previous leadership role in major project management, implementation and delivery ;
  • Demonstrated practical data analytical experience used to inform business decision making ;
  • Work experience in a consumer or airline loyalty environment ;
  • Proven experience managing a high performing team ;
  • An understanding of regulations relevant to the financial services industry.
