What you’ll be doing :

The Tooling and GSE role will be based at Perth Airport. This role is critical to our business with the day to day operations for our Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO). The role is responsible for oversight and control of calibration and servicing of all Ground Services Equipment (GSE) and tooling used within the AMO. This includes the operational areas within flight line and regional maintenance activities.

 

Who we’re looking for :

As the Tooling and GSE Coordinator you will be working within the Maintenance team and reporting through to the Maintenance Manager.

You will be responsible for :

  • Supporting the company’s Certificate of Approval by providing technical and administrative support to ongoing operations of the business, whilst maintaining a customer and cost minimisation focus ;
  • Ensure that all processes are carried out as per the VARA AMO MOE ;
  • Liaising with service providers when external equipment and services are required ;
  • Managing data and actual availability of GSE and Tooling ;
  • Liaise and correspond with customers, OEMs and vendors on technical and administrative matters relating to the management of Tooling and GSE as necessary ;
  • Analyse and action unserviceable TGSE and develop repair and/or maintenance plans as necessary to maintain serviceable status ;
  • Provide single point of contact for all TGSE maintenance, facilities and repair issues across the business ;
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation of TGSE maintenance programs with respect to relative costs, lead times and risk.

 

What you will need to be successful :

  • Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC and Airside Drivers permit ;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and or supply environment ;
  • Experience in an engineering environment in tool control and calibration procedures ;
  • Intermediate MS suite computer skills ;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills ;
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical instructions using technical language ;
  • Broad understanding of CASA and OEM regulations and instructions.
