Communication and Knowledge Management Expert – Individual Long-term Consultant
Expressions of interest are being requested for an Individual Long-term Consultant Position
- The African Development Bank (AfDB) invites eligible consultants to indicate their Interest in providing Communication and Knowledge Management Services to the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) ;
- SEFA is a multi-donor Special Fund managed by the AfDB, with the mandate of providing catalytic finance to unlock private sector investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency. SEFA offers technical assistance and concessional finance instruments to remove market barriers, build a more robust pipeline of projects and improve the risk-return profile of individual investments. The Fund’s overarching goal is to contribute to universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy services for all in Africa, in line with the New Deal on Energy for Africa and Sustainable Development Goal 7. SEFA was established in 2011 in partnership with the government of Denmark and has since received contributions from the governments of the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Nordic Development Fund and Germany. SEFA is housed in the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Department (PERN) under the Power, Energy, Climate, and Green Growth (PEVP) complex ;
- Under the supervision of the Manager of the Renewable Energy Division and SEFA Coordinator, the Communication and Knowledge Management Expert will provide the following services: (i) further develop and lead the implementation of the Communications and Visibility Plan, (ii) lead the preparation of the SEFA statutory reports, notably the Annual and Semi-Annual Reports (iii) lead the development and publication of knowledge products and associated dissemination events, (iv) support the organization of flagship events and/or event sponsorships, (v) support the development of tools to manage project information, including results and impact stories; (vi) lead development of infographics and other graphic design tasks; (v) develop and manage media content (press releases, interviews) and social media presence (vi) others as stipulated in the Terms of Reference to be shared with the shortlisted consultants ;
- Interested Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this assignment (documents, reference to similar services, CVs, experience in similar assignments, etc.) ;
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Rules and Procedure for the Use of Consultants. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist. The duration of services is twelve (12) months and the estimate starting date is early May 2022 ;
