RECRUITMENT OF INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT
Procurement and Financial Management Coordinator for Program on Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA): Financing Climate Resilient Agricultural Practices in Ghana
- The African Development Bank Group (the Bank) hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following assignment: Procurement and Financial Management Coordinator for the “Program on Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA): Financing Climate Resilient Agricultural Practices in Ghana” (the Program) ;
- Under the leadership and guidance of the Task Managers and the Program Coordination Unit implementing the program, the Consultant’s core duties will include the following activities :
- Lead the different procurement and financial management activities required for the Program execution and provide support to Task Managers implementing the program. This should be done in full respect of the Bank’s rules and procedures and in compliance with the required deadlines for the successful implementation of the Program ;
- Assist the Task Managers in the recruitment of the different service providers including firms and individual consultants required for the Program’s execution under the Loan Facility; the Climate Technology Grant Facility and the Technical Assistance Facility components at different stages of implementation of the program. This includes but is not limited to the Request for Proposals, Terms of References, Expressions of Interest, draft Contracts, monitoring of the deliverables and reporting ;
- Ensure compliance with the provisions relating to eligibility, and the general conditions for acquisition of Consulting services as per AfDB’s procurement policies and procedures as well as compliance with the proposed arrangements and procedures for acquisition of the consulting services as detailed in the Operational Manual of the Program ;
- Assist the Tasks Managers in the coordination and monitoring of all the deliverables of the recruited service providers as well as the Program reporting ;
- Ensure the monitoring and evaluation of the overall impact of the Program including environmental and social compliance and performance ;
- Support in the coordination and the oversight of the Program implementation with the relevant partners and stakeholders in Ghana and reporting on the program execution, performance and impact achieved on a quarterly basis ;
- Other ad hoc services as requested by the Task Managers and the Program Coordination Unit.

- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a shortlist and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedure for the acquisition of Individual Consultants. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist ;
- The Consultant will based Ghana Country Office, Accra – Ghana The duration of services is 12 months to be renewed based on performance. The expected starting date is 15th April 2022. Interested Individual Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours from 08:00 to 17:00, Abidjan local time ;

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SHORT LIST :
- A shortlist of three to six individual consultants will be established at the end the request of expressions of interest. The consultants on the shortlist will be judged on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume.
