Sales Support Advisor

Fixed term contract – 12 months

What you’ll be doing :

The objective of the Sales Support Advisor role is to ensure the sales team and our customers are provided exceptional administrative and sales systems support to meet our corporate goals. Providing logistical and administrative support, the Sales Support Advisor is responsible to support the sales tender and contract implementation process, data integrity of the CRM database, provide end to end Sales Systems and Fares testing including implementation together with other sales support activities; which enable the Sales Team to grow revenue and provide our customers with confidence, through the sales process and their ongoing relationship with Virgin Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a faced paced environment. Here at Virgin Australia we are currently undertaking many exciting transformations, in this role you will have the opportunity for exposure and involvement across these many projects, as well as exposure to multiple areas across the business, whilst working with an inclusive, supportive and fun team.

 

Your day will include :

  • Contract implementation (including new and renewals) across all market segments (industry, corporate, government): contract creation, payments, marketing spends, fare filing, management of Salesforce contract implementation end to end, basic legal advice as it relates to commercial term amendments ;
  • Managing customers through onboarding process to ensure rapid adoption of VA products and services ;
  • Assisting with contract reporting and payments for contracted SLA’s and incentives across all indirect markets (including corporate, accelerate and industry) ;
  • Supporting the Bid process through providing customer insights, research and planning, preparation and quality review of Bid documents ;
  • Managing new Travel Agent Account requests ;
  • Working with other VA departments to implement fares for sale. Once published, test and distribute the relevant fare information ;
  • Management and implementation of Fares across all sale channels ;
  • New Sales systems User Onboarding (Salesforce, GSO, Sharepoint, Sabre).

You have a customer centric attitude and enjoy working in a supportive and inclusive environment. You are naturally solutions focused, with a high attention to detail. Your critical thinking abilities enable you to identify improvement opportunities in systems and processes and your “can do” attitude ensures you take the initiative to act and implement. You enjoy partnering with others and sharing your expert knowledge through coaching and training with the ability to relay information clearly :

  • Sound knowledge of the sales contracting process in an airline environment ;
  • Proven experience in dealing with a Vendor for mutually beneficial outcomes ;
  • An understanding of sales principles and customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations ;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines ;
  • Experience in testing and implementing sales systems ;
  • Customer driven and a problem solving mind set ;
  • Experience in coaching and developing other team members to successfully execute tasks.
