Fatigue and Risk Management Program Advisor :

  • Structured training and development from a supportive leader and team ;
  • Part-time secondment position for 12 Months ;

The Role :

In this role, you will provide support and expertise on the Safety Management Systems and operational areas of the business by assisting them in achieving safety objectives through developing and maintaining systems and processes related to Human Factors and Fatigue Risk.

The position is based in our Brisbane head office and you will work closely with the Leader, FRMS and Human Factors.

As a FRMS Program Advisor you will be responsible for :

  • Data interpretation and management of crew safety reporting as applicable to the FRMS (i.e. Fatigue Reports) ;
  • Providing advice to stakeholders based on conclusions including possible risk mitigation strategies ;
  • Using analysis and interpretation of data to measure compliance with internal manuals as well as regulation ;
  • Ensure compliance is maintained within the FRMS and HF sections of the Safety Management Systems document suite ;
  • Data analysis and interpretation of safety reports to identify trends and contributing factors to minimise fatigue risk ;
  • Analyse outputs from bio-mathematical modeling tools, understand crew management systems and rosters, and the relationship between the two ;
  • Monitor trending VAHFACS data and ensure accuracy in data analysis ;
  • Compilation of safety reporting material and packs in support of the FRMS and HF associated governance structures ;
  • Support in the development of NTS training material where related to HF or FRMS.

 

What you need to be successful :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification ideally in aviation ;
  • Demonstrated experience in safety or aviation management (in the field of Human Factors / Risk Management) ;
  • Practical application of HF and FRMS principles into operational systems and processes ;
  • Interpretation and application of rostering work rules in an operating environment. − Development and presentation of data analysis and safety cases applicable to Fatigue Risk Management Systems and Human Factors ;
  • Good understanding and exposure in MS Excel and Power Bi tools ;
  • Proven ability to analyse data in many forms and provide accurate and reliable advice and recommendations based on this analysis ;
  • Familiarity and experience with the MS Office Suite. − Ability to present information in an open forum.
