Hello. We’re Velocity Frequent Flyer, loyalty program of Virgin Australia. . And we’re back (in a big way).

With a year of ups and downs behind us all, we’re now ramping things up. Looking for new, come-as-you-are team members to join our fast-growing squad, responsible for rebuilding Virgin Australia’s loyalty program, currently 10 million members strong, and counting. That’s half of Australia!

Who we’re looking for :

Someone keen to join an award-winning team and take one of ‘Australia’s most loved loyalty programs’ to the next level.  With a thing for best in class, you are  analytically minded and are not shy about asking the right questions to constantly improve process, have solid communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively. Ideally, you will have a strong knowledge or interest in the aviation industry, airlines and their loyalty programs.

 

What you’ll be doing :

As an integral member of our team, you will support internal functions such as performance reporting, data analysis and business improvements.  Your contribution will maximize the value creation from Velocity Frequent Flyers airline partners.  The role demands a “hands on” performer who can roll their sleeves up, balanced with a big picture mindset.

 

Additionally, you will :

  • Compile and manage monthly finance and performance reports ;
  • Diagnose trends and analyse insights ;
  • Support Ad hoc requests for data and reporting across a variety of data sources ;
  • Carry out market and competitor analysis to identify trends and recommendations ;
  • Undertake scenario modelling and analysis ;
  • Prepare data for management review and build reporting requirements ;
  • Ensure any business changes are accurately built into the reporting ;
  • Identify and manage any discrepancies or variances month on month seeking to resolve issues.

 

We’re looking for someone who…

  • Holds an undergraduate or post graduate degree, with between 2 to 4 years experience with a data analytics role ;
  • Strong experience in Excel and working with large datasets ;
  • Is able to use data insights to generate easily interpreted, impactful presentations ;
  • Has proven analytical ability, and ability to use excel/word/powerpoint ;
  • A proven ‘can do’ approach with excellent organisational skills ;
  • Has excellent attention to detail and a solid communication / presentation capability.
