Senior Project Coordinator-Health & Nutrition (2)
The Role :
The senior project coordinator will lead the technical aspect of the project ensuring effectiveness of routine work in health facilities supported by this project. S/he will be responsible for establishing systems and ensuring that all project activities are implemented accordioning to technical qualities and MOH policies. The position holder will closely work with World Vision and MOH health workers to ensure the day to day execution of the Damaal Caafimad project activities in the targeted districts under region of operation. The position holder will represent World Vision at state, region and district level partner engagements, coordination’s and closely work with project manager for technical support and guidance. In collaboration with state MOH and District health offices, s/he will ensure the implementation of essential health services packages through improved coverage and quality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the Project technical work ;
- Establish and implement systems for technical supervision, management, and quality improvement ;
- Ensure essential health services are being implemented to technical guidelines ;
- Ensure all MOH policies and procedures are implemented ;
- Oversee training of health professionals ;
- Oversee efforts to improve health service coverage and utilization including community engagement.
Essentials :
- Advanced degree in public health, medicine, or nursing ;
- Training in project management, planning, M&E and report writing ;
- Training in RH, EPI, TB, Nutrition, IMCI and HMIS/DHIS2 ;
- A minimum of ten-years full time experience of managing health service delivery projects, preferably in fragile contexts ;
- Demonstrated experience in health service quality improvement ;
- Demonstrated experience improving health service coverage and utilization in fragile contexts ;
- Experience with tools and systems to improve health service delivery and quality ;
- Demonstrated experience managing health service provider training ;
- Substantial experience working with Governments and partners in fragile contexts ;
- Training in project management, planning, M&E and report writing ;
- Training in RH, EPI, TB, Nutrition, IMCI and HMIS ;
- Willingness to be based in a remote, rural area ;
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytic skills ;
- Strong networking and communication skills ;
- to synthesize complex information for use across different audiences in both written and oral form ;
- Strong diplomacy skills on partner engagement, coordination, representation and networking ;
- Excellent communications skills including the ability to synthesize complex information for use across different audiences in both written and oral form ;
- Substantial experience with capacity development, preferably in the health sector.
Working Environment : The positions will be field based; One in Bay, South West state and the other in Nugal, Puntland State.
