The Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Coordinatorwill report to the SVP Legal Affairs and will be a member of the airBaltic team whose responsibility is to assist company in development of sustainability and corporate responsibility strategy and practices in the following interconnected pillars: environment, economic and community, throughout the entire organization and all business aspects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cooperation and LEARN from external consultants and providers on sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives

In cooperation with external consultants and internal stakeholders:

  • Engaging with a variety of stakeholders internally to ensure that their inputs are reflected in organization’s sustainability and corporate responsibility policies ;
  • Participate in the development of the strategy for sustainability and corporate responsibility in the organization with an accompanying mission or vision and clear operating principles ;
  • Developing, implementing, running and evaluating organization’s sustainability programs ;
  • Conducting an analysis of current policies, costs and benefits associated with implementing sustainable practices in an organization ;
  • Overviewing corporate governance and corporate responsibility policies and control proper execution and ensuring cooperation partners liability to follow corporate governance and sustainability practices
  • Building short and long-range operational planning that incorporates sustainability and corporate responsibility practices ;
  • Acting as an internal sustainability, corporate governance and corporate responsibility consultant in the organization to educate colleagues on emerging trends, programs and issues ;
  • Review sustainability program objectives, progress, or status to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulations, or laws;
  • Developing and implementing systems to measure the progress of sustainability initiatives;
  • Preparing reports for top management about the progress of sustainability projects ;
  • Conducting research to identify new sources of funding and writing grant proposals to request additional funding sources.

Requirements :

  • GENUINE INTEREST IN SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES ;
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to work in a highly dynamic environment ;
  • Excellent argumentative, presentation and communication skills ;
  • Business acumen and project management skills ;
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills  ;
  • Strong sense of accountability for own area ;
  • Fluent English (both verbal and written) ;
  • Legal or Public relations graduate.

As the company is dynamic in its operations, the remuneration as described above is valid only during the term of this advertisement and may change with the possible next job offer. Remuneration as described above is pro rata depending on actually worked hours.
