The role :

This role assists in ensuring Virgin Australia has access to the airport infrastructure required to meet the businesses’ strategic, operational and product requirements.  How?  We’re looking for someone to gather and analyse data to understand capacity and demand for infrastructure across the end-to-end airport journey (ground transport to gate) and model the operational and guest experience outcomes (e.g. queue wait times and on-time performance) of different growth and infrastructure development scenarios.

The data you’re looking for will be found in various databases and through engagement with business resources. We’re therefore looking for someone with strong data and requirement gathering experience, ideally in demand and capacity analysis.

While this role is primarily focused on data analysis, you will get the opportunity to review airport master plans and development proposals with the view to ensuring proposed infrastructure plans meets Virgin Australia’s objectives.

Core Objectives :

• Demand and capacity analysis to underpin infrastructure development proposals ;
• Align airport infrastructure access with operational and guest experience objectives ;
• Review and influence the direction of airport Master Plans ;
• Actively build and manage infrastructure planning relationships with airports ;
• Build effective and productive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

What you need to be successful :

• Advanced Excel skills ;
• Infrastructure planning and design skills ;
• Tertiary qualifications in Aviation, Engineering, Architecture, Business Analytics or similar ;
• The ability to identify and gather complex data that relates to customer and commercial airport movements.
