Safety Standards Specialist :
- Permanent full time position ;
- Supportive leadership and team ;
- Based in Brisbane, Southbank.
The Role :
As a Safety Standards Specialist, you will be responsible for the designing, implementing and ongoing improvement of policies and procedures within the Virgin Australia’s Safety Management System.
The position is based in Brisbane Head Office in Southbank and, you will work closely with the Leader, Aviation Compliance.
As a Safety Standards Specialist, you will be responsible for :
- Managing the system of standards, controls and processes which enable Safety Systems to support Virgin Australia’s Operations ;
- Providing advice and assurance to Safety Systems management as to the compliance status of the division ;
- Managing the administration of the Virgin Australia enterprise-wide Risk Management Program and Change Management Process ;
- Delivering risk and change management training ;
- The completion of technical risk assessments ;
- Providing advice to senior management in relation to risk management standards and divisional risk reporting for the operations division ;
- Conducting audits within the Safety Systems division.
What you need to be successful :
- A genuine passion for customer experience and people safety ;
- Aviation degree or equivalent experience ;
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessments within the aviation sector ;
- Demonstrated experience in Change Management would be beneficial but not essential ;
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail ;
- Lead Auditor training and certification is desirable but not essential.
