Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an international charity that supports the safety of aid workers by establishing safety coordination platforms in insecure contexts. INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services including real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff orientations and training.

INSO services help NGOs with their day-to-day risk management responsibilities and improve their overall situational awareness to support evidence-based humanitarian access decisions.

The Organisation has grown from innovative start-up to become a globally recognised charity and a valuable component of the humanitarian safety coordination system.

Today the Organisation provides daily support to more than 930 beneficiary organisations (NGO) in twelve of the world’s most insecure countries and has earned a strong reputation for performance, principles & professionalism.

 

INSO Niger :

We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to establish and lead the country team as Country Director. INSO plans to open operations in Niger from February 2020 with a prospective budget of cca 2,000,000 EURO. As such, the Country Director will be deployed alongside the Finance Manager and the Operations Manager to lead the opening. The roll-out phase will consist of progressive opening of a coordination office in Niamey, and two field offices in Diffa and Tillabery in the first semester 2020. INSO services will start progressively from February onwards. The post is to be based in Niamey, with frequent travels to field locations and in the region.

Salary :

Terms & Conditions : 12-month contract with expected start date 17th February, €5500 per month salary, 4 days annual leave per month, 3 days R&R every 3 months with a €1000 allowance for each R&R cycle, global medical coverage, $200,000 AD&D coverage and housing provided. While this position is unaccompanied, your partner may live with you in INSO accommodation.

  • Updated CV in French (5 page maximum) ;
  • One relevant and substantive writing sample in French, which demonstrates your analytical and reporting abilities (10 page maximum, but may be less).
